Greeting Fellow Neighbors from Paul Crippan, TRENO Council member who lives across the street from the Cody Project (Mesquite and South Palm Canyon). I move here in 2001 and it was an 11 acre overgrown field. After many starts and stops with a number of developers, it is FINALLY happening. The new owners, Toll Brothers who state they are “America’s Luxury Home Builder” purchased the property a few months ago. They are different from the previous developers as they have their own funding to build this long awaited 100 plus townhomes. I was told by their representative there will be mostly 2 story but there will be a few 3 story townhomes.
In the past few weeks there has been a number of dump trucks bring more sand to increase the elevation of the property in its northeast section. They have been busy moving the sand around the entire property to get it ready for put in streets and sidewalks. I asked Allen Janisch who lives down valley and a vice president of Toll Brothers when they will start building. He stated they will begin this fall and have several models ready by the end of this year.
I have heard this before, but seeing all the activities in the past few weeks, gives me hope this is FINALLY happening. I am attaching a few photos taken which shows the improvements of the property and the landscaping that was done by the previous developer. I will keep you posted on future activities. If you have any questions or comments you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
