Letter from Chair Eric Borsum / Newsletter & Website KICKOFF!

Dear Neighbors,

TRENO Chair - Eric Borsum

TRENO Chair - Eric Borsum

Let me begin by welcoming new neighbors and thanking new and old for their support of TRENO. Since becoming chair of TRENO in September 2017, I’ve met a lot of neighbors, and I’ve asked them “what can TRENO do for you?” You’ve said you want to stay informed about news of our neighborhood, details about events, photos/recaps of activities, updates on ongoing issues, advance notice of City and County maintenance work, introductions to local businesses, and information related to the health and well-being of our neighborhood community. With this in mind, I’m honored to introduce the September 2018 issue of TRE-News, an e-newsletter designed to keep you informed of “things TRENO.” We hope you find the publication useful and informative.

For additional ways to stay informed, visit the following.

  • TRENOps.com – The redesigned TRENO website has lots of information about our neighborhood. This is the repository for neighborhood organization records, membership information, neighborhood history and more. When you want to learn more about an item in TRE-News, check out the website where many items are covered in greater detail.

  • Nextdoor.com. Sign up to discover our neighborhood on Nextdoor, the private social network for neighborhoods. By becoming a member you can visit the Tahquitz River Estates Neighborhood news feed at https://nextdoor.com/neighborhood_feed/. Here you’ll find announcements about upcoming meetings, notices related to City, County and Coachella Valley initiatives that impact our neighborhood, and updates on TRENO activities and projects. Time sensitive information is posted to the neighborhood news feed.

  • Facebook. Find us on Facebook >. Our Facebook page includes highlights from posts to the website and neighborhood feed as well as lots of photos.

In closing, I’d like to extend thanks – on behalf of the board – to Mike Arnone for serving on the TRENO board and for taking on the role as Communications Director. Mike redesigned our website, launched our this e-newsletter initiative, and created our new Facebook page. He also aligned these information sources with our neighborhood news feed on Nextdoor.com. Well done, Mike!

We hope you will make use of the many opportunities to connect with your neighbors and TRENO. TRENO wants you to get involved! All are welcome. If you have ideas to improve our neighborhood or would like to become involved, please contact us here. This is your neighborhood. The more people who get involved, the better it is for all of us. Thank you.
