Neighborhood Watch

TRENO has developed a Neighborhood Watch program that will help us prevent crime and look out for other problems that may occur while you're away from your home. This simple program asks neighbors to share their contact information and emergency telephone numbers with one another and to keep an eye on one another's homes.

Disaster Readiness

Nobody likes to think about the likelihood of a catastrophic event. However, our proximity to several fault lines makes it a wise decision to protect ourselves by making preparations as individuals and as a community of people who can share resources and work together in the event a disaster should occur. The TRENO Disaster Readiness Task Force has created a pamphlet that provides lists of supplies and other important information and has developed a survey to help TRENO identify people with special needs, special talents and essential resources so that in the event of a disaster, neighbors can mobilize to secure safety and well-being of the neighborhood.

  • Building a strong community of neighbors knowing, caring and looking out for one another;

  • Providing a forum for goals and issues of neighborhood concern to come forward and be acted upon in a collaborative manner;

  • Developing a collective voice to express the neighborhood’s needs, concerns, and visions before the City of Palm Springs.
